Simple Roast (for a fall sunday dinner)

This tender all in one pot meal will last for a few days or for one large family dinner. Spice up the boring roast and have a 5 star dinner at home after a long day of yard work.

Preparation time:  30 minutes
Total time:  2 hours or more

Ingredients:
  • 1 med sized roast about 5 lbs
  • 1 bag potatoes any kind
  • 2 large onions white
  • 1 large bag pre cut carrots
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • garnish with sour cream and butter on potatoes once plated
  • garnish with horseradish sauce for beef
Directions:

Get a pan on the stove hot with a teaspoon or as needed of olive oil
mix flour,1 tablespoon Italian seasoning,1 teaspoon garlic and 1 teaspoon pepper.
Roll meat in flour mix
drop meat whole in pan and sear all four sides this takes about 5-8 mins
Place meat in a large dutch oven,place potatoes cut in cubes with skin on over top
place whole carrots and chucked onion on top
mix remainder of seasonings together and pour over top close lid and bake for 3-4 hrs on 375
cool and plate
meat with a side of sauce
carrots
and potatoes with butter and sour cream.

cooks while your relaxing on a Sunday and dinner looks like it took hrs.
