Old Fashion Homemade Lasagne

Preparation time:  1 hour
Total time:  2 hours or more

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb. Italian Sauage (Mild)
  • 1/2 lb. Ground Beef
  • 1 Clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Lg. Can Diced Tomatoes
  • 12 oz. Tomato Paste
  • 1 T. Chopped Parsley
  • 1 T. Basil
  • 1 t. Salt
  • 1/2 Box Lasagne Noodles
  • 24 oz. 4% Cottage Cheese - Sm Curd
  • 2 Eggs - Beaten
  • 2 T. Chopped Parsley
  • 1/2 c. Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 t. Salt
  • 1/2 t. Pepper
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella Cheese - Sliced
Directions:

Brown Meat slowly, drain fat. Add next six ingredients to meat and simmer uncovered 30-45 min, stirring occasionally.
Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender, drain and rinse in cold water.
In large bowl, beat two eggs and add Cottage Cheese and next 4 ingredients.
Spray 13x9 pan and layer lasagne in this order:
Noodles - 1/2 Cottage Cheese mixture - Mozz Slices - 1/2 Meat Mixture and repeat to make two layers.
Bake 350 for 45 - 1 hr. Place on cooling rack for 15 min before cutting.

Notes:
Lasage must sit for at least 15 min to cool and let cheese set or slices will run together.
